I relocated to Sarasota from Illinois in 1987 to take advantage of living in the Sunny South.  I work at Sarasota Memorial Hospital as a Registered Nurse in the Labor and Delivery and High Risk Obstetrics. 

I was member of the Founding Board of Breast Health Sarasota Inc. in 1999.  Breast cancer has been a passion for me since having lost my Aunt to the disease in 1991.  She left behind a three year old daughter that cold December 26^th.  It was then I made a personal commitment to make a difference in the breast cancer community.  I have those same emotions today believing that no little girl should lose her Mommy this way! 

I feel that making a difference in the Women’s Healthcare field is my gift.  I enjoy sharing in the education process of Women’s Wellness and healthcare in general.  As a Labor and Delivery nurse I can help educate the future generations in taking an active role in wellness.  I take this opportunity to share my vision of someday taking Breast Cancer out of our vocabulary.
